Have you heard of The Alerin Barn in St. Johnsbury, Vermont? If you haven't you're in for a treat. This is where Danielle & Andy finally got to say "I do" after being postponed due to the pandemic... I'm sure you've heard the story!
It was the most beautiful late July day, not too hot or humid and blue skies all day. If you're in the wedding industry in the Northeast, you already know that to have a sunny Saturday this 2021 wedding year was like a unicorn. One of the rainiest years yet.. but not for Danielle & Andy!
The Alerin Barn has rooms to rent so guests can stay on site, an amazing barn for the reception, and a sweet wedding ceremony option with views of the mountains. The whole place is an experience, and it was so great to finally photograph a wedding there! There are vegetable gardens and if you're lucky enough, you might even see some cows.
I arrived just in time for hair and makeup and to grab those amazing detail shots that we all want. Since a lot of their wedding party were still unable to attend the wedding (stupid covid), we decided to split my coverage time for a portion of the wedding day and a photoshoot next year with the whole gang. This allowed me to photograph the ceremony and about an hour of the reception with portraits in between, but I left before the heavy dancing and partying started. A tight timeline for sure, but we made it happen!
